
Afro Gala is an annual event aimed at showcasing and promoting the Black/African cultural heritage and inter cultural/racial relationship.
We also use the opportunity to recognize and honour people who have contributed to the development of the black community as part of our celebration of the Black history month.
The event attracts people from various ethic backgrounds living in and outside Canada.
It recognises and celebrates individuals who serve, volunteer and support development in Black communities.
- To provide an avenue for showcasing and promoting Black/African cultural heritage.
- Strive to unite Blacks/Africans of various nationalities to build Black identity.
- To promote inter cultural/racial relationships.
- To promote a welcoming, tolerant, diverse, open minded and supportive community.
- To create a socially active, fun-filled environment and develop attitudes to empower the people particularly the Youths.

Afro Gala received a recognition in the Canadian House of Commons and by the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau.

Founded in 2016 by Linda Dozie, and Onyeka Dozie.
Have lived in British Columbia since 2001 with their three beautiful kids.
Have volunteered, served and supported Black communities and organization in various capacities.
Passionate about intercultural relations, vouth empowerment and promotion of African culture.
